Our Story

After working in various community mental health settings, Carmen and Krista became colleagues in a local group private practice. Both entered the group practice with dreams of owning their own business. While under this leadership, they were encouraged to identify their personal areas of passion and expertise. During this time, the two were inspired to unite and serve their community in reducing the stigma attached to mental healthcare. 

According to the American Psychiatric Association, racial/ethnic, gender, and sexual minorities often suffer from poor mental health outcomes due to multiple factors including inaccessibility of high quality mental health care services, cultural stigma surrounding mental health care, discrimination, and overall lack of awareness about mental health. Carmen and Krista wanted to create a place where individuals and families would receive distinct care while becoming more knowledgeable of and connected to available resources locally.

In 2020, Carmen and Krista made the decision to walk into their destiny. Day to Day Counseling and Consulting, LLC manifested with the desire that each and every person who entered (regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status), no matter how big or small their problems were, would feel cared for, safe, and important. 

The name and logo with green leaves enclosed by an orange sunrise were created from divine spiritual symbolisms. Day to Day symbolizes survival, new life, new possibilities, new opportunities, hope, fresh beginnings, and the rise of consciousness. Green symbolizes life, hope, renewal, growth, harmony, safety, rebirth, security, and restoration. Leaves symbolize growth, energy, progress, rebirth, hope, life and new beginnings. Orange symbolizes joy, determination, strength, endurance, warmth, and optimism. Sunrise symbolizes awakening, new hope, new beginnings, life, light, manifestation, resurrection, rebirth, energy, intellect, power, brand new, and divine rejuvenator.
