Carmen Sharp, LPC, NCC, BC-TMH

Child, Adolescent, Adult and Family Therapist

Carmen graduated with her bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi. She then obtained her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Mississippi College in 2013. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Mississippi. She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Board Certified Telemental Health Provider. She is skilled in working with adolescents/adults through individual, group, and family therapy. She finds the most joy in working with children and adolescents. Carmen’s passion is to bring healing and hopefulness to people who have been through feelings of worthlessness and despair. She helps her clients to identify healthy perceptions of themselves and utilize appropriate coping mechanisms to navigate towards healing and growth. Her counseling philosophy is based on the principle that each individual and each relationship is unique. She works hard to tailor the counseling to fit the needs and goals of each client. She wants each client to find joy, hope, and peace in their day to day lives.

Krista Atkinson, LPC-S, BC-TMH
Co-Owner

Adolescent, Adult, Couples, and Family Therapist

Krista graduated from Mississippi State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Psychology and in 2008 with a Master of Science degree in Counselor Education (emphasis in Community Counseling). Krista is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Mississippi. She is also a Board Certified Telemental Health Provider, a certified Prepare/Enrich Practitioner and a trained SPARCS (Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress) Therapist. She has over 14 years of community outreach and counseling experience working extensively with children, adolescents, families and couples from diverse backgrounds. Krista uses her skills to customize individualized treatment strategies specific to each client and each situation presented. Her main therapeutic goal is to assist individuals and families improve their overall quality of life by creating a warm, positive therapeutic environment conducive to empowerment, self-discovery, growth and healing.

Keona Harris, MS, LPC-S

Adult, Family and Group Therapist

Keona is a Board Qualified Licensed Professional Counselor who finds pleasure in helping others through their "big door in, small door out" problems. She has over 23 years of mental health experience serving faithfully as a Mental Health Counselor. She credits her experience as a counselor for teaching her that there is nothing new under the sun and all people deserve to be loved, heard, and validated. In her initial educational pursuits, she attended the University of Alabama where she gained a Master’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Although this is a far stretch from counseling, it was in this program where she realized her passion to rehabilitate and not punish a person for their choices. In order to bring this passion to fruition, she enrolled in the Counselor Education Program at Mississippi State University and earned a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education. While serving in the capacity of a Licensed Professional Counselor, she has worked with individual with a myriad of issues ranging from Depression, ADHD, Anger Management, Psychosis, Trauma, and Grief. She considers herself an integrationist because she believes in doing what works best for her clients depending on their needs. As an integrationist, she employs treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Person Centered, Solution Focus, EMDR, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
